This Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Business and Management programme will ensure you have a strong grounding in the fundamentals of business such as strategy, operations and logistics, human resource management and marketing. This will provide you with the widest range of transferable business skills leading to you being a well-rounded graduate.

The focus on employability modules complements the broader skills that you’ll gain in understanding how businesses create success, how to manage business operations, how to make informed decisions and how to lead change in organisations.

MGT301 - Strategic Leadership and Collaboration (30 credits)

Learning Outcomes – Knowledge:

  • Critically debate the importance of and approaches to strategic leadership in organisations
  • Identify and articulate how strategic leaders can achieve stakeholder collaboration to support organisational success
  • Analyse and evaluate their own leader identity in order to shape their CV and professional digital profile
  • Produce a comprehensive leadership development plan to enhance career prospects

  • Reviewing and critiquing traditional and emerging leadership concepts, theories and models

MGT302 - Managing Business Continuity and Resilience (30 credits)

  • Apply a range of analytical skills to understanding the complex inter-related functions of business

MGT303 - Leading and Implementing Organisational Change (30 credits)

  • Conduct an organisational change readiness analysis and use this to inform a set of recommendations and supporting change action plan
  • Critically appraise and choose appropriate approaches and models related to organisational change
  • Identify and critically discuss how leaders ensure change initiatives support ethical, sustainable and responsible business practice

MGT304 - Business Consultancy Project (30 credits)

Learning Outcomes – Knowledge:

  • Appraise, evidence and apply the concepts and practices of management consulting within a range of sectors, organisations and job family roles
  • Critique and defend the processes required for a consultant to meet a range of potential research settings
  • Select and evaluate the tools and techniques required to source, critique and implement a range of potential viable and realistic solutions
  • Debate and articulate the critical, methodical and creative problem-solving practices required to be an ethical and reflective internal or external consultant

  • The role of a consultant and the importance of ethics and confidentiality
  • The role and purpose of internal consultants
  • Internal consultants as ‘researching professionals’

Mode of Study
Part Time Online Learning
  • This bachelor’s degree can be completed in a minimum of 12 months.
  • Tutorial schedule is designed to suit busy professionals who work and study at the same time.

4 assignments Four in each year level
  • This programme is assessed by 4 assignments.

Entry Requirements
HKDSE/HKCEE/HKALE/IB Diploma/Associate Degree/Higher Diploma
  • Holder of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business / HRM; OR
  • Applicants who are holders of Higher Diploma/Associate Degree in Business / HRM or equivalent are considered on a case by case basis; AND
  • English proficiency of IELTS 6.0; GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
  • Other students without the above qualification are considered on a case by case basis or can enter the final year top-up programme via HND pathways.

Candidates whose first language is English or whose previous verified qualification was taught and assessed in English are exempted from the aforementioned English Language requirement.
